Comp 3906 and Comp 4906 have merged to Become Comp 3912 – iOS Application Development for iPhone and iPad

July 30, 2011

Hello future BCIT iPhone/iPad students,

Just a heads up that the 2 iOS courses run by the School of Computing here at BCIT have merged into a new 4 unit course for the fall called Comp 3912. The course will incorporate materials from both the previous iPhone and iPad courses and have a new online component.

Students will be required to have either an iPad, iPod Touch or and iPhone as a test device (running iOS 4.3 or higher) for the course and have access to an Intel based Mac laptop running Snow Leopard or higher.

Since this is now a 4 unit course  the workload for this new course has increased and students will spend a significant portion of time outside of class working on assignments, final projects and reviewing learning materials. There will also be more opportunities for group collaboration both inside and outside of class.

Look forward to seeing you in the fall!
